Howard's 30 years of extensive business experience has given him a unique approach to helping his clients, many of which are private companies in the real estate and public-private partnership industries. Using the resources and tools of our RAN ONE affiliate, Howard helps his clients improve the value and profitability of their businesses. He is a seasoned seminar and meeting leader in the area of business development.
Howard joined Manning Elliott as a partner in 1999, after having been a partner at BDO Dunwoody. In the 70s, Howard worked in the Los Angeles office of Peat Marwick Mitchell and in private industry as a CFO and internal audit manager for two publicly-listed Fortune 500 companies.
After graduating in 1973 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida, Howard went on to obtain his Certified Public Accountant designation from the states of Florida and California. He received his BC Chartered Accountant designation in 1983 and has since completed training in commercial mediation.
Howard is the treasurer of Shooting Stars Foundation, an organization that produces special events to raise money for people living with HIV/AIDS. He is a self-proclaimed "golf nut" who also enjoys long-distance running, dog training, karaoke and travelling. He has even been known to step into the spotlight to perform stand-up comedy.
