Joseph provides audit, tax and general advisory services to mainly small and medium-sized public companies and private companies, especially those in the mineral resources, investment, software, distribution and franchising industries. He advises clients on complex accounting matters, securities filings and Canadian and US financial reporting issues. Joseph enjoys explaining complex accounting and tax issues to his clients and providing clear, effective recommendations, so that his clients will fully understand the information needed to make the best decisions.
Joseph is also the leader of Manning Elliott's IFRS Task Force. In this role, he educates both Manning Elliott staff and clients on IFRS issues and requirements and provides guidance to clients on IFRS implementation.
Active in the development of junior team members, Joseph strengthens and advances their skill sets through mentoring, which produces an effective and cost efficient audit team for our clients.
Joseph received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario and completed his CA designation in Toronto prior to joining Manning Elliott in Vancouver in 2001.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Joseph enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding and hiking, as well as a relaxing afternoon on the beach with his family.
