Rick has developed an extensive background providing accounting, tax, estate and succession planning, and business advisory services for privately held businesses. His practice has involved business owners operating in various industries including manufacturing and processing, agriculture, real estate development, wholesale, distribution and R & D. Rick's practice also includes a focus on delivering income tax consulting and tax planning services to owner-managed businesses and their shareholders.

Rick joined Manning Elliott in 1996 after having worked as a senior principal with a national accounting firm based in Abbotsford. Rick's home has been in Abbotsford for many years and he has been practicing in the community for over two decades.
In 1985, Rick graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1987 and then further expanded his career in 1990 by completing the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants' In-depth Taxation Program.
Rick spends his leisure time enjoying family activities. Topping his list of favourite family past-times are boating, cycling, snow-skiing and bowling. He is also an active participant in hockey and appreciates the camaraderie he has with colleagues and friends on the golf course.
