Catherine is a seasoned member of the Manning Elliott team, having joined the firm in April 1984. She specializes in audits and reviews of private companies and not-for-profit associations and provides advice on personal tax issues.
Catherine's first language is French. Over and above her wide range of English speaking clients, she has a niche in providing services to clients whose primary language also is French.
Over the years Catherine has developed strong bonds with her clients. They value the long-term relationships she has built with them based on trust, responsiveness and mutual respect.
Being a mentor and confidant to junior staff and students is a role which Catherine greatly values and enjoys. She has an open door policy and makes herself readily available to provide technical support and encouragement to developing staff to help strengthen their skills.
Catherine has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Public Accountancy diploma, both from McGill University, and graduated from a private French school in Montreal with an International Baccalaureate diploma.
Spending time with her husband and three adult children is a favourite pastime plus travelling, cycling, cross-country skiing, crafting and reading. Catherine is also the treasurer for Girl Guides of Canada in Richmond, a member of the Vancouver Francophone Chamber of Commerce, and participates actively in the French community in the Lower Mainland.
