Holly’s expertise is in providing tax planning advice to privately held businesses, their shareholders and high net worth individuals. She specializes in: succession planning, estate planning, post-mortem planning, executor assistance, marital breakdown and division of assets, corporate re-organizations and restructuring, dividend and remuneration planning, and charitable donation planning.

Prior to joining Manning Elliott, Holly was a Senior Tax Manager at a national firm. There she provided tax planning and compliance services to privately held businesses, their shareholders and high net worth individuals. Holly frequently presented at various internal and external tax technical sessions on related tax issues. She was also involved with the firm’s Human Resource initiatives, including the Coaching Culture and Best Workplaces committees.

Holly’s presentations include: “Tax and Succession Planning for the Family Business Conference” at the Pacific Business and Law Institute; and “Changes to the Taxation of Trusts” at the Estate Planning Council of Vancouver.

Holly is an Executive Board Member for the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Canada, Vancouver Branch. She is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of Vancouver. Holly has been a Tutorial Leader for the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada’s In-Depth Tax In-Residence 1 course, In-Depth Tax Level 2 course; and Group Study Leader, In-Depth Tax Level 1 course.

Having earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario, Holly attained the designation of Chartered Accountant in 1993 from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC. She also attained her TEP designation from The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in 2015.

Outside of work, Holly enjoys running, hiking, reading and spending time with family and friends.
