Purpose of Role:
Responsible for providing high-quality administrative support to the internal Canadian Tax Group.
The successful practitioner will have experience with a diverse range of clients and industries.

Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Personal Attributes:
-
Minimum 3 years’ relevant administrative assistant experience. Previous experience in a professional services environment considered an asset

Strong communication skills, including written and verbal
-
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
-
Able to prepare presentations including charts, graphs & tables, speaker notes, and handouts
-
Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with the ability to work in a changing environment
-
High degree of initiative and seeks ways to improve efficiencies
-
Highly motivated with the ability to handle multiple priorities
-
A collaborative team player with the ability to work with people who have a diverse range of skills, styles, and approaches

Ability to handle stress while operating with a sense of urgency and using good judgement

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Coordinate and execute tax processing procedures, including collating, assembly, efiling, scanning and monitoring tax control logs and reports

Data entry; enter data in tax forms such as FBAR’s

Collate tax returns (personal, corporate, and trusts)

Maintain e-file and due date systems for tax returns

Quality control check on completed tax returns

Assist with managing filing deadlines, including preparing status reports

Assist with ad hoc projects

Maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality

Actively support and participate in Firm wide initiatives

Participates in the Firm’s Team Development Performance Management Program

Promotes the Firm’s Quality Control Standards
