U.S. Tax Technician

U.S. Tax

Status:
  • Permanent, Full-Time

Purpose of Role:
  • Assists Managers and Partners in providing US Tax services on routine and complex US tax engagements

Reports to:
  • Manager

  • Senior Manager

  • Partner

Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Personal Attributes:
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • A positive "can do" approach

  • Works effectively in a team environment

  • Works well under supervision

  • Motivated to learn

  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role is considered an asset 

  • US CPA or Enrolled Agent (or in progress of completion) considered an asset

Responsibilities:
  • Preparing US Corporate, Partnership, and Individual tax returns

  • Preparing US tax provisions

  • Correspondence with the Internal Revenue Service and Canada Revenue Agency

  • Assisting team members in all aspects of US Corporate and Individual tax planning

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of cross-border tax planning
