Tatsu’s previous experience in the travel industry and public practice has given him versatile skills to serve various types of clients, from large international organizations to individual entrepreneurs and investors. Being bilingual in English and Japanese, Tatsu plays a significant role in growing the Firm’s Japanese Business Group.

Tatsu appreciates those who have helped him grow as an accounting professional in Canada, and he is always looking for an opportunity to pay it forward. Tatsu is currently a member of the Japanese Business Association of Vancouver (Konwakai), the Kiyukai-Vancouver Japanese Business Association, and the Japan-Canada Chamber of Commerce.

Education

Born and raised in Japan, Tatsu moved to Canada after he graduated from Keio University and worked in the travel industry for 10 years. Tatsu began his accounting career in 2004 as an Articling Student with an international accounting firm, where he would work for the next 14 years prior to joining Manning Elliott in 2018. Tatsu obtained his US CPA designation in 2004, and then obtained his CA designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia in 2008.
